INSIDE/OUT ARTIST STATEMENT

Perhaps quilt would like to bust out, blow up, be read, stand on their own, spill their guts, spin out, be at right angles to their smooth surfaces. Twenty-two pieces exploring such imagined desires on the part of quilts also make statements about the lives of their makers and users, questioning all closed-in, contained reality.
